Q: Can we book the villa up to 12 months in advance?
A: Yes, a lot of our guests do this to ensure they book the exact dates they require. Both villas book very quickly, by booking early you are guaranteed the dates you want, I also notify all of our guests when the cheap flights go on sale.
Q: Can you arrange an airport transfer? And what happens if my flight is delayed for several hours?
A: We arrange airport transfers 24 hours a day, our drivers check all arrivals into Dalaman Airport, via the airports “live” system and he will arrive in plenty of time to pick you up.
Q: Do I need an entry visa?
A: If you hold a UK passport, yes you will need one, the current cost is £10, for both adults & children and is payable on entry at Dalaman Airport, other nationalities will need to check with their own embassy.PN: (GBP) - £10 notes are only accepted to purchase your visa.
Q: How will I get the keys to the villa?
A: Our drivers will give you the keys and a 'welcome letter' with all of the emergency and office details included.
Q: Why is the villa rental prices so affordable?
A: We have a family and understand how important holidays are, so when we bought the villas we vowed not to set the rental high, or increase the prices during school holidays, we paid over inflated prices for years and stayed in inadequate accommodation.
Q: Do you offer discounts or late booking deals?
A: No, we feel our prices are very competitive for the size and quality of villa rental we offer, also, it is not fair on the guests who have booked many months in advance.
Q: What happens if I need a Doctor or Dentist?
A: Our manager will arrange everything for you, he will also stay with you should this be needed, most Dr’s and dentists in Dalyan speak many languages fluently as does our manager, so don’t worry about a language barrier.
Q: Are there any chemists?
A: Yes, there are four chemists in Dalyan all with trained pharmacists, who will be happy to help and offer you advice.
Q: Can I use my debit and credit card whilst in Dalyan?
A: Yes, but it’s best to check with your bank first, your bank may charge a small fee for this service.
Q: Are there any cash machines in Dalyan?
A: Yes, there are lots ATM’s, cards are also accepted at the bank and the post office, shops and restaurants, but always check with the staff first.
Q: Will I have a contact number whilst staying at the villa?
A: Yes, you will be given my number and our managers numbers, both land line and mobile in with the booking forms.
Q: How often do the buses run and are they reliable?
A: The dolmus (bus) run frequently and can be stopped on route, no need to stand at a bus stop, make the driver aware of you in plenty of time and he will stop, it costs 1Turkish Lira into the town centre.
Q: If I have any kind of emergency whom do I contact?
A: Again,our manager, he will assist you.
Q: Do you have metal bars to the windows? If not why not?
A: No, our insurance company has strongly advised us not to!
Q: Is there a safe we can use? If so what is the weekly charge for this service?
A: To reduce the yearly costs of the villa's insurance policy, we now have a safe, there is no charge for this service, the villa also has an alarm fitted and this has reduced the insurance costs dramatically and enables us to pass on the savings to our guests.
Q: When and who do I pay the transfer money?
A: The transfer cost will need to be paid on your arrival in resort, or just call into Dalyan Select when you are in the town and pay one of the staff.
Q: Do you charge a breakages deposit and if so how much is it?
A: No, we decided not to, breakages will happen, all we ask is that you replace like for like, if major breakages occur then our manager must be notified and he will contact me for advice.
Q: Can you arrange car hire? Would we be able to collect the car at the airport?
A: Yes, our manager can arrange car hire and any trips you may be interested in.
Q: Is it safe to drink the tap water?
A: I wouldn’t, it is ok once boiled to make tea and coffee, buy bottled water to drink
Q: Do I need holiday insurance or can I rely on the governments EHIC - European Health Insurance Card (formerly E111)?
A: You will need to take adequate private holiday insurance for yourself and all members of your party; the EHIC - European Health Insurance Card is not valid in Turkey, For more information please visit their web site by clicking the link on the left.
Q: Can I call a taxi to pick me up from the villa?
A: Yes, All the taxi drivers know where Villa Lily and Villa Lahana are, you can either text or telephone (number at the villa in the information pack) and they will call and collect you at the time you wish. The cost is 10 Turkish Lira (2011)
